86.Myocarditis, toxoplasmosis, microscopic

The etiology for the myocarditis is shown here. A toxoplasma pseudocyst appears in a myocardial cell. The pseudocyst contains bradyzoites of T. gondii. Such an infection is typical for immuno- compromised hosts, such as those with AIDS.
