50.Adrenal gland, cortical adenoma, gross

Here is another adrenal adenoma. There is some residual normal adrenal cortex at the right. Many adenomas are incidental findings with no associated clinical findings and no measurable hormone output. They are picked up incidentally on a CT or MRI scan of the abdominal region.
