Here are some larger areas of gastric hemorrhage that could best be termed "erosions" because the superficial mucosa is eroded away. Note the rounded outlines of these erosions--perhaps very similar to the end of a nasogastric tube. Hmmm, perhaps it is best not to apply too much suction to the NG tube.
